DuBois Girls Minors Defeat Brookville
DuBois Minor League All-Star pitcher Eden Galiczynski delivers a pitch Sunday against Brookville in DuBois' 39-0, 4-inning victory. Galiczynski tossed a one-hit... shutout with 11 strikeouts and was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and five runs scored on the day. Galiczynski's big day at the plate was part of an offensive attack that saw DuBois bat around in every inning, sending 11 to the plate in the first, 16 in the second, 19 in the third and 17 in the fourth.

The DuBois Little League All-Star baseball team beat Brookville, 10-3,
Monday evening at Zufall Field in Brookville.
DuBois is 2-0 and will play at St. Marys at 6 p.m. Thursday. St. Marys reached the winner’s bracket semifinals with a 25-0 win in four innings over Fox Township Monday.
DuBois opened with a run in the first inning before Brookville answered with one in the bottom of the frame.
DuBois took the lead for good in the second with a single run, then got two in the third and four in the fourth to pull away.
Brady Woodward hit a two-run home run in the third to give DuBois a 4-1 lead. His long ball cleared the fence in center with ease.
But first, DuBois got things started in its first at-bat as winning pitcher Garrett Starr led off the game with a walk, took second on a wild pitch from Brookville’s Jack Krug and scored on Alex Pasternak’s double to right.
The DuBois Little League All-Star baseball team opened District 10 play with a hard-fought 8-4 win, 8 inning over Punxsutawney Friday evening at Way Memorial Field. Karson Fields blasted a solo home run to center to tie the game at 4-4. Garrett Starr ended up with the win out of that group, tossing 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief. The All-Stars will play Sunday at 4:00 in Brookville.
